Dear Members and Friends of the Cathedral,

This is appeal weekend for the diocese and the cathedral parish. You should have received pledge cards in the mail. Please bring them to Mass—or fill one out at church. Last weekend, we invited you to reflect and pray about the blessings God has entrusted to you. This weekend, as we embrace the call to Take. Bless. Break. Share., we invite you to prayerfully make your commitment to the Annual Catholic Appeal. As you consider your gift, ask the Holy Spirit to guide your response and how you are called to share God’s blessings with others throughout our diocesan Church.

I’ll celebrate reconciliation with you on Saturday afternoon, and I’ll preside and preach at all the Masses. (Father Ken is away.) We’ll play the audio of Bishop Johnston’s message for the annual appeal, and I’ll add a few words about the needs of the parish. We’ll ask you to place your pledge cards in the collection baskets this weekend.

The second collection will be for the Church in Latin America. People there also need our help.

Those interested in joining the church meet Sunday mornings at 10. If you know someone who would like information, please invite them to fill out our form.

Monday after Mass you may help serve lunch at the Towers next to the cathedral. You can help even if you just want to eat and visit with our neighbors.

Adult faith formation continues on Monday evening. Come learn about Saints and Women of the Bible.

The finance council meets Tuesday night.

Please, please fill out the pledge cards and put them in the baskets this weekend.

In Christ,

Fr. Paul Turner, Pastor This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
